Wahl Refractory Solutions takes the concept of "pre-cast" shapes to a higher level. Progressing beyond simple shapes, Wahl offers an engineered refractory system.
Working with the end user or an engineering company, processing equipment can be designed or retrofitted to take the full advantage of precast shapes. Staff engineers are ready to visit job sites or design centers to coordinate all details - starting with design to final installation.
Our pre-cast shapes are designed around our refractory castable formulations, each developed for specific conditions by our Research and Development Group.
Castables are manufactured on site by our Refractory Products Division where castables are made for shipment to customers all over the world, but whose biggest customer is our own shop located in the building next door.
Shapes are cast in our world class precast shop that has cast shapes as small as 8 pounds and as large as 28,000 pounds. The experts in this shop have been responsible for the development of innovative techniques in piece and form design, casting, curing, and drying.
In addition to its state of art drying ovens, Wahl has the capability of firing shapes to 2000o F.
For the more intricate pre-cast shapes which require embedded steel or mating framework, we maintain an association with only the highest quality producers of steel fabrications.
