Wahl Refractory Solutions manufactures a wide variety of products to meet the challenges of the most demanding operations.
COMMAND Ultra low cement content castables, characterized by high density and exceptional strength. Command castables can be vibration cast at very low water contents and are easily pumped as only slightly higher water contents. The Command family include high alumina, fused silica and silicon carbide based castables. Variations include aluminum resistant and spinel, zirconia and chromic oxide containing mixes.
SICON Ultra-low cement content, silicon carbide castables. These compositions have exceptional physical properties and are very well suited for the highest wear applications.
ULTRACON Low cement, low moisture, coarse aggregate refractory concretes with outstanding volume stability and hot strength properties. Ultracon castables are particularly well suited for applications where severe erosion/abrasion conditions are encountered. It is installed by vibration casting. These are also available as Ultra-Command products.
WAL-CAST Conventional castables range from economy castables for moderate duty installations to high purity, calcium aluminate bonded, calcined grog castables for intermediate temperature ranges. WAL-CAST products are typically installed by vibration casting; however, some products can be gunned or pumped.
WAL-MAxXx™ The cutting edge in aluminum resistance technology. Wal-MaxXx™ offers the ultimate aluminum resistance, especially at elevated temperatures where conventional aluminum penetration inhibitors lose effectiveness. Wal-MaxXx™ products can be vibration cast at very low water contents and can be pumped at just slightly higher water contents.
WAL-PLAS A full line of phosphate bonded, high alumina plastics. Wal-Plas plastics are easy to ram and display excellent cohesion. Variations include silicon carbide and chromic oxide containing products.
WALCRETE Cement-Free shotcretes. WalCrete installs quickly and easily with minimal dust and rebound. WalCrete does not require 24-hour air curing or extended dry-out schedules. WalCrete is designed to help reduce refractory installation time, helping minimize furnace down-time.
XCEL-CAST Low-Cement, vibration castables with outstanding physical properties. Xcel-Cast castables have very high densities providing exceptional wear and corrosion resistance. Xcel-Flow castables are pumpable and self-leveling versions of Xcel-Cast.
